Elderly Woman Killed on Town Center Drive in Las Vegas

A 76-year old elderly woman was killed following a 3-vehicle collision on South Town Center Drive near West Sahara Avenue Tuesday afternoon, Feb. 6th. The incident happened about 1:20 p.m. when the driver of a pickup truck, identified by Las Vegas Metropolitan Police as 36-year old Manuel Tul-Jor, was heading south on Town Center Drive and cross over the center median where he collided head-on into a Hyundai Elantra that was traveling in the northbound lanes.
Another vehicle tried to avoid the collision between the pickup truck and the Hyundai Elantra and ended up colliding into the center media as well. The couple that was inside that vehicle were uninjured. Tul-Jor was transported to University Medical Center Trauma unit where he was treated for minor injuries. The elderly woman was also taken to University Medical Center where she was treated for major leg injuries. She later succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead by medical staff. The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department reports that they do not know whether impairment was a factor in the crash. This is the 5th fatal collision in LVMPD jurisdiction since the beginning of 2018.
