Las Vegas Metro police said they are investigating after a motorcyclist was left in critical condition following a collision on a stolen motorcycle near McCarran Airport in the central valley early Tuesday morning, Oct. 24th. The incident occurred shortly after 1:20 a.m. when a passing driver reported to Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department of a downed motorcycle and rider on Topaz Street, near the intersection of Tropicana Avenue and Eastern Avenue. First responders arrived to find a man, between the ages of 25-years old and 30-years old lying on the road of Topaz Street. According to LVMPD preliminary investigation, the Yamaha XVS 950 the motorcyclist was riding was reported stolen in the overnight hours from a home in the area Saturday night.

Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department is searching for the hit-and-run driver who struck and killed a 1-year old boy after he walked into the street in front of his Las Vegas apartment complex in northeast valley Sunday evening, Oct. 15th. LVMPD officers were summoned to respond to reports of a hit-and-run crash that involved the toddler at the Liberty Village Apartment Complex in the 4700 block of Sphinx Way, near East Gowan Road and North Nellis Boulevard around 6:45 p.m. Officers arrived to find 1-year old Jaheim Heath non-responsive. The toddler was rushed to University Medical Center Trauma Unit where he was pronounced dead shortly after arriving. According the LVMD preliminary investigation and witness statements, Heath was outside playing with other neighborhood children when he was struck by a blue 4-door sedan. The driver didn’t stop to render aid. Heath’s parents were unaware that he was outside and other children went into her house to say that her son was hit.
Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department has confirmed that 5 people were killed in 3 separate vehicle-related collisions in the valley, and surrounding environs of Las Vegas Saturday, Oct. 15th. The 1st incident occurred when Henderson police responded to the scene of a reported collision between a Jeep Liberty and a Dodge pickup at the intersection of Russell Road and Stephanie Street at around 11:00 p.m. According to an initial report by the Henderson Police Department, the Jeep Liberty was heading east on Russell Road when it left the roadway, crossed over the median, and collided with the Dodge pickup that was traveling in the westbound lanes of Russell Road.
The Nevada Highway Patrol has released the names of 3 of the 4 people accused in the fatal crash that killed a 69-year old man after being caught in the middle of a road-rage incident on Interstate 15 near Moapa in the northeast valley Sunday afternoon, Oct. 8th. The incident occurred shortly after 1:00 p.m. on the southbound I-15 close to mile marker 93, according to witnesses a Jeep SUV, along with a BMW M5, and Cadillac Escalade were all traveling near each other and all were driving aggressively due to a road rage incident. At some point before the collision, someone in the Cadillac threw a bottle at the Jeep.
A suspected driver is in Las Vegas Metropolitan Police custody after a hit-and-run collision that killed 3 boys and left a 4th boy in serious condition in the East Valley Saturday night. The incident occurred just before 9:10 p.m. when LVMPD responded to reports of a pedestrian-auto collision at the intersection of East Desert Inn Road and Cabana Drive, east of South Nellis Boulevard. Police say the boys were on the south side of the street, walking east on the sidewalk when a vehicle jumped the curb and ran the boys over. According to a preliminary investigation, the driver was trying to pass another vehicle on the right shoulder of the road when he lost control, jumping the sidewalk, hitting the boys and slamming into a traffic light.
