Las Vegas Fire and Rescue were successful in their rescue of 2 people after their vehicle ended up submerged in one of the Desert Shores community’s lakes in West Las Vegas late Tuesday night, April 17th. Fire and Rescue crews responded to reports of a vehicle that had plunged into a lake near Breakwater and Port of Call Drives around 11:55 p.m. They arrived to find the vehicle submerged some 20 feet from the shore with 2 individuals standing on the vehicle’s roof.

2 pedestrians are dead after both were struck and killed by vehicles in North Las Vegas and Metro Las Vegas respectively. The 1st incident happened Thursday evening shortly after 9:00 p.m. when North Las Vegas police received reports of a pedestrian-vehicle collision that occurred near the intersection of North Las Vegas Boulevard and McCarran Street.
