Victims Identified in DUI Collision that Killed 2 near The Strip

2 men who were killed during a fatal DUI collision early Saturday morning have been identified. The Clark County Coroner’s Bureau identified 56-year old Alexander Rousakov of Las Vegas, and 36-year old Alexander Ridley also from Las Vegas. The incident occurred around 3:00 a.m. when Las Vegas Metropolitan Police officers were summoned to respond to a fatal collision involving 2 vehicles at the intersection of Spring Mountain Road and Polaris Avenue. Investigators say that evidence at the scene and witness statements indicated that a Dodge Charger was traveling west on Spring Mountain Road when it entered the intersection with Polaris Ave on a red traffic signal.

Pedestrian Struck and Killed near Fort Apache Road in Las Vegas

1 woman was killed and another woman is in critical condition following a pedestrian-vehicle collision in Summerlin, west Las Vegas Tuesday evening, Sept. 26th. According to Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, the incident occurred shortly after 8:00 p.m. at the intersection of Fort Apache Road and Lake South Drive, just north of Desert Inn Road in the West Valley where officers responded to a crash between 3 pedestrians and a vehicle. LVMPD authorities say that the 3 women were crossing Fort Apache Road, inside the cross walk, when a Chevy Malibu struck 2 of them. The 2 injured victims were transported by ambulance to University Medical Center where 1 woman, a 71-year old, succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead by medical staff.

DUI Suspect Arrested after Collision with CCSD School Bus

September 21 – A Suspected DUI driver was arrested after she collided with a Clark County School Department school bus Thursday morning, Sept. 21st. The incident occurred shortly after 6:45 a.m. when Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department received calls about a collision between a vehicle and a school bus at the intersection of E. Charleston Boulevard and Lamb Boulevard in Eastern Las Vegas. Officers arrived to find a silver vehicle wedged about halfway under the Clark County School District school bus and a woman yelling erratically at the school bus driver.

Fatal Collision Involving LVMPD Patrol Car in South Las Vegas

September 20th ─ Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department is investigating a fatal traffic collision between a LVMPD patrol cruiser and a vehicle that closed off several blocks of Las Vegas Boulevard in the South Valley early Wednesday morning. The incident occurred shortly after 3:30 a.m. when LVMPD responded to an officer call to dispatch that he had been involved in a rear-end accident with another vehicle. According to an eyewitness, he was out walking his dog when he saw a vehicle coming south on Las Vegas Boulevard. The eyewitness says both the car and the officer were heading in the same direction when the rear-end collision happened, moments after they passed Serene Avenue. The driver of the vehicle was killed instantly and was pronounced dead at the scene by responding officers.

September 15th ─ an auto-pedestrian accident in near Downtown Las Vega, just south of Arizona Charlies Casino, has prompted the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department to investigate after the victim was left with life-threatening injuries after the collision early Thursday evening. The incident occurred just after 6:20 p.m. when LVMPD police were called to reports of a vehicle striking a pedestrian near the intersection of Decatur Boulevard and Charleston Avenue.

Pedestrian Killed on Harmon and Paradise in Las Vegas

September 13th ─ Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department are investigating the death of an 85-year old pedestrian who was struck and killed on South Paradise Road near the Hard Rock Casino late Tuesday night. The incident occurred shortly after 11:20 p.m. near Paradise Road and Harmon Avenue, when the pedestrian, who was not in a designated crosswalk, was struck by a 1993 Ford Mustang headed north on Harmon Avenue. Detectives said the pedestrian was trying to reach his car, which was parked at the Embassy Suites across Paradise Road. The 22-year-old driver, who struck the pedestrian, called 911 and told dispatchers that he had struck a man on the road. The driver remained at the scene and police say he did not exhibit signs of impairment. The pedestrian was transported by ambulance to Sunrise Hospital where he was later pronounced dead by medical staff.

Slew of Accidents Result in Injuries, 1 Fatality in Las Vegas over Weekend

September 11th ─ 3 accidents, 3 injuries, and 1 fatality all occurred between Friday, Sept. 9th- Sunday, Sept. 10th. The 1st incident occurred Friday evening around 7:40 p.m. when officers with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department responded to a report from dispatchers of a vehicle striking a pedestrian at the intersection of Bonanza Road and Rancho Drive, near downtown Las Vegas. The pedestrian was transported by ambulance to University Medical Center, and was listed in critical condition by hospital personnel. There is no other information regarding this accident.

3 Injured in Hit-and-Run in Northern Las Vegas, Suspect Sought

September 8th ─ The North Las Vegas Police Department is seeking the public’s help to find a vehicle that struck three pedestrians in a hit-and-run crash near Civic Center Drive and Gowan Road in northern Las Vegas late Wednesday night, September 7th. The incident occurred around 9:50 p.m. when officers received a call of a vehicle that struck pedestrians. When officers made the scene, they found 3 men in the road. Citing the preliminary investigation, police said an older black four-door Cadillac sedan was heading northbound on Civic Center Drive toward Gowan Road. The vehicle jumped the curb and hit three men, between the ages of 19 and 21-years old, who were walking on the sidewalk.
