Woman Will Surrender In Fatal Hit and Run

A fatal hit and run occurred Monday, November 24, 2014. A woman who feels that she was guilty will surrender to local police.

A 63 year old man was hit who was pushing his one year old granddaughter, the attorney said.

The woman will give her version of the details of the accident when she surrenders, Tuesday.

A report states that a dark gray Honda Civic was traveling along South Rainbow Boulevard near West Warm Springs Rd hit Michael Grubbs.

A woman thought to be between the ages of 20 and 30 years old was said to have been driving the car.

Grubbs was pronounced dead at the hospital to which he was taken. The child sustained minor injuries.

The woman saw coverage of the incident on TV and decided to turn herself in.

An investigation is ongoing.

An arrest may be made pending further disclosures.

Two Separate Accidents Occurred in which Two People Died

Two people died in two sephome-intro3rate car accidents which occurred Friday, April 19, 2013.

The first accident occurred Friday at around 5:35 P.M. Two cars collided near Craig Road and Martin Luther King Blvd.

The male driver was pronounced dead on the scene. The second driver, a female, suffered from minor injuries.

Later that day, a second accident occurred. A bicyclist was hit by a car near Cheyenne Ave. and Rancho Blvd.

The bicyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.

Both accidents are under investigation.

Wrong Way DUI Killed Two

A 52 year old man was sentenced to 8-20 years for an accident which killed two when he was DUI going the wrong way. Gustavo Martinez-Garcia of North Las Vegas crossed the median on Summerlin Parkway and hit a Toyoto Corolla. Twenty year old Savanna Gonzales and Thirty-one year old Frank Anthony Spenia III were killed.

Martinez-Garcia sustained non-life threatening injuries. He pleaded guilty to a DUI. His blood alcohol level was found to have been .22% at the time of the accident.

Mr. Martinez-Garcia received a $5,000.00 fine in addition to the years sentenced. Also he was ordered to have an alcohol monitor device installed on his vehicle for three years after the accident.

Both families of the beloved reported suffering from emotional pain from the deaths.

Mr. Martinez-Garcia had been convicted of DUI’s twice before. He stated that he accepted responsibility for the accident and for the deaths.

Ms. Gonzales’ car was totally destroyed.

Ms. Gonzales and Mr. Spenia were on their way to visit a family member when the truck hit their car.

The Judge who heard the case expressed a loss of faith in people, acknowledging the frequency of this type of accident occurring in the community.

Three Autos collide in Henderson, Nevada: Two Dead

A van was hit by a semitrailer on U.S. 95 at Auto Show Dr. on June, 12, 2014.

The Nevada Highway Patrol reported that the driver of the semitrailer ran a red light, causing the accident.

A Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo was involved in the accident also. The drier of the Jeep was taken to St. Rose Dominican Hospital for non-life threatening injuries. He was not kept in the hospital.

The semitrailer was traveling north on U.S. 95, exiting the highway at Auto Show Dr. The semitrailer ran the red light and hit the front of a Chevy Uplander going east on Auto Show Dr. The Jeep, which was going east, also, hit the semitrailer.

The semitrailer and the van consequently hit a concrete wall.

The persons in the van were pronounced dead on the scene said Nevada Highway Patrol Loy Hixson.

Both of the northbound ramps were closed as a result of the accident, in addition to westbound Auto Show Dr.
