Las Vegas, NV – The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department is reporting the death of a pedestrian near a busy intersection in Las Vegas late Thursday evening, July 9th. The collision occurred shortly after 10:20 P.M. near the intersection of N. Lamb Boulevard and E. Tonopah Avenue. LVMPD officers responded to reports of a pedestrian vs. vehicle collision.
While it’s still too early to know for certain if Nevada has flattened its curve of growing cases, the Nevada Department of Health and Human Services is now reporting smaller increases of day-to-day deaths caused by COVID-19 statewide. Health officials expected an increase in positive cases as more test kits became available, which did happen.

RENO, NV – Reno Police are investigating the cause of a pedestrian vs. vehicle collision that occurred in Reno early Wednesday evening, February 6th. The incident occurred shortly after 5:30 P.M. when officers responded to reports of a pedestrian vs. vehicle collision that occurred on Wells Avenue and Willow Street. According to Reno Police, the pedestrian was attempting to cross the street outside of a marked crosswalk and was struck by a passing vehicle.
Reno, NV (July 12, 2019)- According to the Nevada State Fire Marshal’s office, the explosion at a University of Nevada, Reno dorm last Friday July 5th was caused by a small gas leak in a boiler room. The gas leak had spread throughout the building and caused a larder second explosion that also caused damage to a nearby dorm room. Reno Fire Department responded to the scene and confirmed that 8 students had been injured and were transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Las Vegas, NV (February 26, 2019) – The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department is investigating a fatal collision at a busy intersection Tuesday afternoon, February 26th. LVMPD officers were summoned to respond to a 2-vehicle collision that occurred sometime around 4:40 P.M. at the intersection of Flamingo Road and McLeod Drive. According to investigators, a Chrysler 200 was traveling westbound on Flamingo Road and attempted to negotiate a turn left into the southbound lanes of McLeod Drive.
Reno, NV (December 18, 2018) – A crash between a Union Pacific train and an RV resulted in the driver being hospitalized with major injuries the morning of December 18th. The crash occurred shortly after 11:45 A.M. on 4th Street near the intersection of Woodland Avenue and White Fir Street. According to a preliminary investigation, witnesses on scene reported saw the driver of the RV intentionally steer in front of the Union Pacific train. The driver was found unconscious by first respondents.
Las Vegas, NV (May 23, 2018) – A 36-year old motorcyclist is dead after a motorcycle vs. vehicle collision that occurred in the northwest valley early Wednesday afternoon, May 23rd. According to Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, officers were summoned to respond to a fatal traffic collision in the 7100 block of Carrondale Way between Tenaya Way and Washington Avenue sometime after 1:00 p.m.
