The Nevada Highway Patrol has released the names of 3 of the 4 people accused in the fatal crash that killed a 69-year old man after being caught in the middle of a road-rage incident on Interstate 15 near Moapa in the northeast valley Sunday afternoon, Oct. 8th. The incident occurred shortly after 1:00 p.m. on the southbound I-15 close to mile marker 93, according to witnesses a Jeep SUV, along with a BMW M5, and Cadillac Escalade were all traveling near each other and all were driving aggressively due to a road rage incident. At some point before the collision, someone in the Cadillac threw a bottle at the Jeep.

The BMW and the Cadillac were then seen to be boxing in the Jeep SUV. The driver of the Jeep attempted to pass the BMW by traveling in the left shoulder median. The right side of the Jeep struck the left side of the BMW causing the BMW to crash into an embankment. The driver of the Jeep lost control and crossed the center median colliding head-on with a Mini Cooper traveling in the northbound lanes of the I-15.

The driver of the Mini Cooper, Michael Prinaris, 69-years old of Henderson, died at the scene. A Nissan SUV subsequently struck the Mini Cooper after the initial collision. An elderly couple, both 73-year olds, was in the Nissan. They were taken to University Medical Center Trauma with non-life threatening injuries. The 35-year old driver of a Jeep, who is still hospitalized, has not been identified. He was booked in absentia for felony reckless driving with death, according to the release. The driver of the BMW, Nan Ying, 24-years old, along with the driver of the Cadillac, Jincheng Sun, 19-years old were charged with misdemeanor reckless driving. Zizilong Wang, 20-years old, a passenger in the Cadillac, was booked for littering. This is the 46th fatal crash in NHP-Southern Command's jurisdiction.
