While being arrested for being in possession of a stolen car last week, a man was found to be in possession of illegal drugs as well.

21-year-old LeDarrell Vontez Cooper was arrested on February 18^th for being in possession of and driving a stolen Kia SUV. During the arrest, he was also found to be in possession of what was suspected to be crack cocaine.

Cooper was charged with third degree possession of a controlled substance and felony unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, along with misdemeanor resisting arrest/search or transport.

A Henderson man who was being arrested for felony car theft was in even deeper trouble when Henderson police officers discovered he was in possession of suspected crack cocaine.

The car thief/drug possessor’s bond was totaled at $20,000 and he was taken into custody to Rusk County Jail.
