Car Crashes into House in Las Vegas

Las Vegas, NV (April 6, 2023) – A car crashed into a home on Wednesday afternoon near Tenaya and Smoke Ranch, resulting in a response from the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department and first responders. The accident occurred at 7237 Chesterton Drive, according to authorities. Two people were in the vehicle, and Las Vegas Fire and Rescue had to extricate them, according to police.
The LVMPD believes the car was speeding prior to the accident, but impairment was not a factor. The two people involved in the accident have been identified as California residents, but no additional information has been released about the cause of the crash. Neighbors who were present at the time of the crash reported that a resident was inside the home, but she was not injured.
Children Were Present During The Crash
There were also children playing outside across the street when the accident occurred, according to neighbors. The LVMPD plans to forward information about the crash to the Clark County District Attorney's Office to consider potential charges. The Red Cross provided aid to the occupants of the home, including temporary shelter and resources for recovery.
