Young Boy on Bike Hit by Passing Vehicle
April 24, 2012 | Car Accident
A young boy riding his bike throughout northwest Las Vegas was struck by a passing motorist early Tuesday morning.
According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police, the boy was riding through the intersection of North Tenaya Way and West Alexander Road when he was run down by a vehicle.
The boy, believed to be between 8 and 9 years old, suffered minor injuries as a result and was taken to Mountain View Hospital for treatment.
It is not yet known who was at fault in the accident, and local police are still investigating potential factors that led to the car’s bumper rudely introducing itself to a young boy.
Las Vegas is not a stranger to accidents like these. Despite multiple events held to crack down on distracted driving and re-educate on pedestrian safety, accidents continue to pile up in record numbers.
