April 4, 2012 | Car Accident
The Las Vegas coroner’s office has released the identities of two people who were killed in separate accidents in Vegas on Monday.
66-year-old Paul Windle was killed attempting to cross the street at Las Vegas Boulevard at Harman Avenue by a hit and run driver early Monday morning.
The suspect who hit Windle is still at large, though the pickup truck that hit the elderly man was found in the parking garage of the Cosmopolitan.
18-year-old Alberto Paredes died as a result of driving his car into a power control box near Lake Mead Boulevard and Tonopah Drive. The vehicle, a Saturn sedan from 1997 that was reported stolen, was reportedly driving erratically before the accident.
A 16-year-old passenger was taken to University Medical Center as a result of the accident.
Both accidents are still being investigated by officers of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.
