Six Women Injured, Five Thrown From Car In Early Morning Los Angeles Crash
February 5, 2012 | Car Accident
A car crash early Friday morning critically injured six women in the Hyde Park Area, the Los Angeles Times reports. The 2:47 a.m. accident on February 3, 2012 occurred in the 1400 block of Florence Avenue.
The car the women were traveling in swerved and struck palm trees in the Los Angeles neighborhood. The Times reports alcohol may have played in role in the car going out of control.
The crash demolished the Infinity SUV, and the impact threw five of the women from the vehicle. According to the Times’ news story, firefighters had to pry the driver out of her seat. An officer with the Los Angeles Police Department, Bruce Borihanh, said the crash victims had not yet been identified. The Times’ reports that investigators are looking into whether alcohol played a role in the crash because the car had an open container in it.
