The Clark County Coroners Bureau has released the identity of a pedestrian that was killed in a deadly crash in the eastern valley Saturday evening. Jan. 19th. Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department is investigating the crash that killed 53-year old Jefferey Miller, who passed away from injuries sustained in Saturday’s crash. According to LVMPD, officers responded to the scene at 11:30 p.m. at the intersection of Warm Springs Road and Tamarus Street, just east of Interstate 215. A Toyota Prius was traveling eastbound on Warm Springs Road at Tamarus Street in the left travel lane. Miller was walking east in the left eastbound travel lane of Warm Springs Road when the Toyota struck him. Miller and the 65-year old driver were both transported by ambulance to Sunrise Hospital.

The driver suffered minor injuries and was treated and released, while Miller was listed in critical condition with life-threatening injuries. Miller later succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead by medical staff. The Toyota’s driver did not show any signs of impairment according to LVMPD. Metro's Fatal Detail is investigating the crash and this is the 1st traffic-related fatality in the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department's jurisdiction for 2018.
