Las Vegas, NV (October 19, 2018) – Las Vegas Metro Police investigated a serious accident that left a pedestrian in critical condition Friday night, October 19th, in the west valley. The incident occurred shortly after 9:30 p.m. on West Russell Road near Cameron Street, according to authorities. The unidentified pedestrian was crossing Russell Road outside marked crosswalks when a 2013 Nissan Altima struck her, police said.

The woman was transported to a local hospital in critical condition, and remained as such as of early Saturday morning. The driver of the Nissan, identified as 30-year-old Jordan Jackson, remained at the scene and fully cooperated with officers. Police did not believe impairment was a factor in the crash, but are continuing the investigation.
