No Pedestrian Is Safe On Vegas Streets
March 28, 2012 | Car Accident
A woman and a teenage boy are recovering after two separate accidents between vehicle and pedestrian just 15 minutes apart on Monday evening.
According to the Las Vegas Metro Police, the first accident took place at 7:30 p.m. on Warnock Road near Desert Inn Road when a car hit a woman crossing within a crosswalk.
She suffered a broken leg as a result of the collision, and was taken to University Medical Center for treatment.
Just fifteen minutes later, police were called to the scene of another pedestrian accident, this time involving a 16-year-old who was hit while crossing Tropicana Avenue near Topaz Street.
He was not in a marked crosswalk when hit, and was sent to Sunrise Hospital with serious injuries.
Further investigations are ongoing into these two accidents to determine whether or not either of the drivers will be sited for their part in the collisions.
