Las Vegas, NV (July 23, 2019) - A collision in Downtown Las Vegas has left a Nevada Highway Patrol cruiser on its roof after it was struck by a Ford Taurus Tuesday morning, July 23rd. The collision occurred just before 3:40 A.M. at the intersection of Charleston Boulevard and Grand Central Parkway. According to NHP spokesperson, a silver Ford Taurus that was traveling westbound on Charleston Boulevard as a NHP cruiser was traveling northbound on Gran Central Parkway.

The Ford collided with the cruiser causing the trooper’s car to roll over. The silver sedan received front-end damage due to the impact. Both the trooper and the driver in the Ford were transported to University Medical Center where they were treated for minor injuries. Authorities are investigating whether alcohol or drug impairment played a factor in the collision. No further information was released to the public at this time.
