Las Vegas, NV – Nevada Highway Patrol is still investigating a fatal motorcycle crash that occurred Monday morning June 1st. The collision occurred on South Durango near the 215 Beltway off-ramp sometime around 8:45 A.M. According to NHP, a Kia Sorento had been traveling southbound on Durango near the Roy Horn eastbound off-ramp approaching a green light as 3-wheeled motorcycle was traveling eastbound on the Roy Horn off-ramp and failed to stop at red light.

The front of the Sorento hit the 3-wheeled motorcycle which ejected the rider. First responders arrived and pronounced the motorcyclist dead at the scene. He was described as a 70-year old male. It isn't clear why the motorcyclist ran the red light, and NHP said impairment and speed don't appear to be factors in the crash.
