August 16th─ Henderson police are investigating the death of 19-year old Marcello Giovanni Gennuso, who died in a collision between his motorcycle and another vehicle early Sunday morning. The incident occurred just after 12:18 a.m. at the intersection of Paseo Verde Parkway and Carnegie Street near St. Rose Parkway. Henderson Police Department’s Preliminary details indicate the driver of a Honda CR-V failed to yield the right of way of Gennuso’s approaching Honda motorcycle. Gennuso was transported by ambulance to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center, where he was later pronounced dead by medical staff.

Gennuso’s uncle, J.R. Gennuso, said of his nephew, “Marcello was a kid who was always cracking jokes. He could make you laugh at the drop of a hat and if he sensed you were upset. He made sure you knew how much you meant to him.” His uncle also spoke of his nephew’s love for his motorcycle, “Marcello was so proud of that bike.
