LAS VEGAS, NV (September 12, 2022) – A month ago in Las Vegas, a pedestrian was struck and injured near South Rainbow Boulevard; the person has died, according to the Clark County Coroner and Medical Examiner's Office.

The crash last month occurred on August 12.

Reports say that according to video recorded by surveillance cameras, and witness statements of the crash, at roughly 8:39 a.m., the pedestrian ran through traffic that was stopped in the area of South Rainbow Boulevard and West Flamingo Road.

A vehicle--described as a Toyota Corolla--that traveled toward the intersection and made a turn to the left, struck the pedestrian.

Responders transported the patient to UMC Trauma. His condition was described as critical.

The patient died on September 10, reports say. His identity has not been reported.

The person who was driving the Toyota stayed at the crash site and cooperated with the investigation.

The driver's identity is also not known from reports.

Investigators are continuing their work on the crash.
