Las Vegas, NV (July 4, 2018) – Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department reported that a pedestrian was left in serious condition after he was struck by a vehicle in northern Las Vegas 4th of July morning. According to LVMPD, officers responded to a report of collision between a pedestrian and a Porsche Cayman at the intersection of North Martin Luther King Boulevard and West Balzar Avenue in northern Las Vegas sometime around 9:30 a.m.

The pedestrian was described as a male in his 30s who was crossing across North Martin Luther King Boulevard on the south side of the intersection with West Blazer Boulevard where he was struck by the Porsche Cayman. The pedestrian fell onto the roadway where first responders found him. The driver of the Porsche was identified as 68-year old Wendell Williams and she remained at the scene and was not suspected of impairment. The pedestrian was rushed by ambulance to University Medical Center Trauma where he was listed in serious condition. The collision remains under investigation by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department’s Collision Investigation Section.
