LAS VEGAS, NV (June 20, 2018) – According to Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, the 60-year old pedestrian who was killed following a collision Monday afternoon has been identified June 20th. 60-year old Vink Naiman was identified by relatives at Clark County Coroner’s office Wednesday morning. According to Officer Larry Hadfield of Las Vegas Metro police, the incident occurred shortly after 1:20 p.m. when Naiman was crossing the street in a marked crosswalk at the intersection of Tropicana Avenue and Mojave Road.

That is when a Dodge Ram that was turning left from southbound Mojave Road to eastbound Tropicana Avenue struck Naiman as she crossed northbound on the eastern sidewalk of Tropicana Avenue. The force of impact from the Dodge Ram tossed Naiman’s body into the road. The driver was identified as an 82-year old man and a resident of Las Vegas. The driver stopped and reported the collision to authorities. First responders arrived shortly after and pronounced Naiman dead at the scene. This death marks the 64th traffic-related fatality in Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department’s jurisdiction since the beginning of 2018. The collision remains under investigation by the LVMPD Collision Investigation Section.
