Las Vegas, NV. (June 12, 2018) - A motorcyclist was pronounced dead after he lost control of his motorcycle in west Las Vegas Tuesday night June 12th. Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department responded to reports of a single-vehicle collision that occurred at 9:00 p.m. at the roundabout intersection of Town Center Drive and Hualapai Way. According to officers,32-year old Arthur Zita was traveling northbound on Town Center Drive approaching the roundabout on his 2017 Jiangsu motorcycle.

Evidence at the scene suggests that Zita failed to negotiate a right turn at the roundabout and drove into a palm tree in the median. Zita was transported by ambulance to University Medical Center where he was treated for his wounds. Unfortunately Zita succumbed to his injuries a short time after arriving and was pronounced dead by medical staff. This is the 59th traffic-related fatality in the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department’s jurisdiction since the beginning of 2018.
