Las Vegas, NV (August 23, 2018) – 10 students were hospitalized with minor to moderate injuries after a Clark County School District bus crashed near downtown Las Vegas Thursday morning, August 23rd.

According to Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Lt. Roberto Morales, the collision was reported just after 8:50 a.m. at the intersection of East Sahara Avenue and 6th Street. Detectives are still gathering information related to the collision but did report that the bus driver was transported to Sunrise Hospital suffering possible neck or back injuries sustained during the collision. In addition, 10 out of the almost 50 students aboard the bus during the collision were also transported to Sunrise Hospital via ambulance. 1 student suffered an anxiety attack following the collision while another tore knee tissue but all 10 students are expected to survive. An investigation is ongoing.
