LAS VEGAS, CA (June 14, 2022) – Late at night on Sunday in Las Vegas, a crash involving a motorcycle and a car fatally injured the rider. The June 12 crash occurred on North Rainbow Boulevard, near Smoke Ranch Road and to the north of it.

The time was roughly 10:42 p.m., Metro police said.

According to authorities, the motorcyclist was traveling on Rainbow Boulevard and heading north. A vehicle--described as a Chevrolet Malibu--was traveling on Rainbow and heading south.

The car made a turn to the left, and the motorcycle and car collided.

Responders transported the rider to the hospital. According to the Clark County Coroner's Office, the motorcyclist died from the injuries he suffered.

He was identified only as 45 years old. His name and city of residence have not been reported.

The person who was driving the car remained at the crash site. The driver's identity has not been reported. It is not known if the driver was hurt in the crash.

Investigators are continuing their work to collect information and details.
