Las Vegas Motorcycle Crash On Desert Inn Road Kills Rider

LAS VEGAS, CA (August 22, 2022) – Early in the morning on Friday in Las Vegas, a crash involving a motorcycle and a pickup truck killed the rider. The August 19 crash occurred on Desert Inn Road, closing the roadway for hours.
The time was roughly 5:00 a.m., Las Vegas Metropolitan Police said.
Reports say a motorcycle was traveling on Desert Inn Road, and for reasons that are not known, the rider struck the rear end of a pickup truck--described as a Ford F150.
Responders took the rider to Sunrise Hospital. He was pronounced deceased in the hospital.
He was identified only as 57 years old. His name and city of residence have not been reported.
The person who was driving the pickup truck has also not been identified. Reports do not say if the truck's driver was hurt in the crash.
Investigators are continuing their work on the crash to learn how and why it happened.
