LAS VEGAS, CA (August 10, 2022) – Three pedestrians were killed in separate crashes in the morning on Tuesday in Las Vegas. According to authorities, a crash close to where Palmyra Avenue and Rainbow Boulevard intersect killed a pedestrian.

The time was roughly 4:00 a.m.

Roughly a half hour later, in the area where Arville and Flamingo intersect, a crash killed another pedestrian.

The time of that crash was approximately a little after 4:30 a.m.

Hours later, a crash close to Washington Avenue and J Street killed a pedestrian.

The time of that crash was a little before 8:20 a.m. Responders transported the victim in that crash to the hospital for treatment of injuries that were described as critical.

A crash that occurred roughly ten minutes later, in the area of Mt. Hood Street and East Washington Avenue killed a pedestrian.

The time was roughly 8:30 a.m.

Reports say a vehicle--described as a Chrysler, purple in color--had been traveling on Washington Avenue and heading east. The car hit a curb, went onto the sidewalk, and struck an electrical box and light poles.

The vehicle went into the intersection and traveled back onto the sidewalk and hit the person.

Responders pronounced the pedestrian deceased at the crash site. She was identified only as a resident of Las Vegas, 50 years old.

Police arrested the suspect driver. He was identified only as 31 years old.

No one involved in any of the crashes has been identified by name in reports.

Investigators are continuing their work to gather information and details.
