Las Vegas Crash on Grand Canyon Drive Critically Injures Pedestrian

LAS VEGAS, CA (March 21, 2022) – Early in the morning on Thursday in Las Vegas, a vehicle struck a pedestrian, causing critical injuries. The March 17 crash occurred on Grand Canyon Drive, close to where Gilcrease Avenue is located.
The time was roughly 7:22 a.m., Metro Police said.
The pedestrian was in a crosswalk that is marked, according to authorities, when a vehicle--described as a Lexus--hit her.
Responders transported the victim to University Medical Center. Her current condition is not known.
She was identified only as 40 years old. Her name and city of residence have not been reported.
The driver was identified only as 50 years old. Her name and city of residence have also not been reported.
Investigators are continuing their work on the crash.
