Elderly Driver Who Hit Child Due in Court

An elderly woman charged in connection with an accident that killed a 6-year-old girl is set to appear in court today in Las Vegas.
She is being charged with five misdemeanor charges in North Las Vegas Municipal Court, including three counts of failure to yield the right of way to a pedestrian in a crosswalk. At a court hearing last month the woman, Alicia Alava, plead not guilty to the charges.
A pre-trail conference was scheduled as when, and the judge has made it clear that she would like to fast track the case.
The family of the victim, Mia Decker, will be at the pre-trial conference.
