Las Vegas, NV (August 20, 2019)- Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department is investigating a fatal collision after an elderly driver crashed into a wall in a neighborhood suburb in the West Valley Tuesday morning, August 20th. Officers responded to reports of a single-vehicle collision sometime after 5:30 A.M. near Durango Drive and Sahara Avenue.

According to LVMPD Lt. Allen Larsen, a 2018 white Hyundai Ioniq was traveling northbound on Durango Drive when for unknown reasons the vehicle crossed Eldora Avenue and collided into a wall. The driver was identified as a 65-year old Las Vegas man. The man was transported to University Medical Center where he was pronounced death by medical staff. The name of the 65-year old man will not be released until next of kin is notified.
