District Attorney Won’t Press Charges
February 28, 2012 | Personal Injury
Clark County’s newest district attorney, Steve Wolfson, is choosing not to press charges against an officer from Henderson who was taping hitting a motorist.
The victim, Adam Greene, was pulled over on suspicion of drunk driving when in fact he was having a diabetic episode. He was dragged out of his vehicle where officers attempted to put him in handcuffs. It was at this point that Officer Brett Seekatz kicked Greene several times.
A six-figure legal settlement was reached between the police force and Greene, and the officers were punished for their actions, though they were not fired.
As a result of the incident, Police Chief Jutta Chambers has announced they she will be stepping down from her position on March 1.
