A major construction project along Interstate 15 will cause major slowing and is set to begin Friday night.

The I-15 South Design-Build Project will commence at 8 p.m. and for the closure of the eastbound 215 to southbound I-15 ramp and the westbound 215 to southbound I-15 ramp. Interstate 15 itself will be reduced to two lanes starting at Warm Springs Road starting at 9 p.m.

All ramps and lanes are expected to reopen later this weekend in the hopes of causing as little impact to traffic as possible.

The construction will also cause the closures of Dean Martin Drive between West Post Road and West Oquendo.
