The Carson City School District Superintendent has released a statement after 7 teenagers were hospitalized after a single-vehicle roll over crash n Kings Canyon in Carson City Thursday night, Nov. 9th. The incident occurred just before 11:00 p.m. when Cason City Sheriff’s Department was summoned to respond to a single-vehicle collision. Sheriffs arrived to find 7 teenagers inside a Dodge Nitro SUV which had been involved in a roll over. 5 teens were not wearing seat belts, 2 were ejected with life-threatening injuries.

3 others are in critical condition. 2 were transported to the hospital by Care Flight, the other teens were transported by ambulance. As Carson High School junior Jasmine Riediger told us, "They made a mistake and now they are all very injured." Due to the severity of the crash, Nevada Highway Patrol is taking over the investigation, with an accident reconstruction team heading to the scene to assist with the investigation. The crash is under investigation. It is unclear if alcohol or other drugs were factors.
