Las Vegas, NV (December 7, 2018)- Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department is investigating a fatal traffic collision early Friday morning December 7th. The incident occurred on South Durango Drive just south of Soneto Lane. Witnesses say that a 2007 Chevrolet Express van was traveling northbound on South Durango Drive, in the left 3 travel lanes, approaching Soneto Lane. A 2006 Dodge charger was traveling southbound on South Durango Drive, in the center turn lane, South of Soneto lane.

The Dodge began to rotate and entered the northbound travel lanes of South Durango Drive as the Chevy approached. The Chevy hit the Dodge on its left side. The Dodge came to a full stop against the east curb of the roadway. The driver of the Dodge was transported to the University Medical Center trauma by ambulance. Despite all the life-saving measures, the driver of the Dodge was pronounced dead by the medical staff. The driver of the Chevy remained at the incident and did not show any signs of impairment. The accident is still for going investigation by the LVPD’s collision investigation section.
