Nevada Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal collision on the U.S. 95 in west Las Vegas that left a woman dead and another critically wounded Wednesday morning, Mar. 7th. Nevada Highway Patrol responded to reports of a single-vehicle collision at 4:45 a.m. on the southbound U.S. 95 near the Rainbow Boulevard on-ramp. According to Trooper Jason Buratczuk, a Chevy Trailblazer with 2 occupants had rolled over blocking 2 left lanes on southbound U.S. 95. A woman was pronounced dead at the scene by first responders.

Another woman was discovered and was transported to a nearby hospital and was listed in critical condition by medical staff. Traffic is being diverted off to Summerlin Parkway and NHP advises drivers to use caution on the roadway as they continue to investigate. Trooper Buratczuk said reckless driving and impairment may be factors in the crash.
