4 Injured, Including 2 Cops in Downtown Crash
May 10, 2012 | Car Accident
Two police officers are recovering from injuries sustained in a car accident in Las Vegas Wednesday afternoon.
According to reports, the two car crash happened at the intersection of West Russell Road and Rogers Street at about 4:30 p.m.
The crash sent the two officers to University Medical Center for treatment of what is believed to be non-life threatening injuries. Two occupants of the second car were also taken to a nearby hospital for injuries of a similar severity.
The officers were not in a marked police car at the time of the accident, and it is not known at this time what caused the crash. Investigators closed down part of the roadway to look into the scene.
There is no word on whether or not drugs or alcohol were a factor in the crash, or if either of the vehicles performed a dangerous or illegal maneuver.
