Three people are recovering in a Vegas hospital after a two car crash took place Monday afternoon.

According to local police, the crash took place at 1:30 p.m. at the intersection of Decatur and Eldorado as an SUV and sedan were violently introduced to each other.

Three victims in the crash were taken to nearby University Medical Center, where at least one is being treated for serious injuries. The severity of injury for the other two was not made available.

Police shut down part of Decatur to investigate the particulars of the accident, and to allow crews to clean up the debris that was scattered across the road. At this time it is not known who was at fault, nor what the factors were that contributed to the collision in the intersection.
