A bicyclist was hit by a car after the driver of the vehicle was distracted by another accident Friday morning in Las Vegas.

According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, a bicyclist was riding near Spencer Street and Flamingo Road at about 10:21 a.m. when hit by a passing car.

An investigation revealed that a two-vehicle accident in the same spot drew the attention of the driver off the bicyclist, causing the collision.

The rider was able to walk away from the crash without injury, as was the driver of the vehicle. At this time there is no information about the crash that led to the accident. Police are on the scene assisting those in the crash.
