Carson City Crash Puts Two in Hospital
May 2, 2012 | Car Accident
Two men, including an elderly gentleman, are recovering in the hospital after their cars collided Wednesday morning in Carson City.
According to the Nevada Highway Patrol, a black Lexus sedan driven by 48-year-old Kenneth Woolsey Isaac was traveling westbound on US 50 at 6:10 a.m. when it drifted into oncoming lanes and crashed into a Chevy SUV driven by 83-year-old Gustavo Cordova.
The Lexus driver was airlifted from the scene to nearby Renown Regional Medical Center; his condition is not yet known. The elderly driver was taken to Carson Tahoe Hospital where he is receiving treatment for non-life threatening injuries.
Police shut down the eastbound lanes of US 50 to clear the wreckage and piece together the evidence on the scene. Investigators suspect that a medical episode was a factor in the crash.
