Pedestrian Struck Wednesday Identified
April 8, 2012 | Car Accident
The identity of a man killed in a collision with oncoming traffic in Las Vegas on Wednesday evening has been released.
68-year-old Brian Kennedy was killed when he walked into traffic and was hit by a Buick sedan travelling east on Lake East Drive. Kennedy was not in a marked crosswalk at the time of the accident. The collision happened just before 8 p.m. just east of Lake Sahara Drive.
The man was taken to University Medical Center with critical injuries. The driver of the Buick was not injured.
Because the man was wondering out into the street, the driver of the vehicle that struck the man was not charged with any criminal actions.
