LAS VEGAS, NV (September 26, 2022) – Late at night on Sunday in North Las Vegas, a teen passenger who was traveling with an unlicensed 16-year-old driver was killed in a crash. The September 25 crash occurred where North 5th Street and San Miguel Avenue intersect.

The time was roughly 11:24 p.m., North Las Vegas Police said.

Two teens were traveling on San Miguel in a Honda and heading east, according to Jeff Wall. Wall is a sergeant with North Las Vegas Police.

Authorities allege the Honda's driver did not stop at a stop sign, and the Honda collided with a vehicle--described as a Jeep SUV.

The Jeep struck the Honda broadside.

The teen who was traveling as a passenger in the Honda was killed in the crash. She was identified only as 18 years old.

Her name and city of residence have not been reported.

The driver was identified as 16 years old. Her name and city of residence have also not been reported.

According to authorities, reports say, the teen girl was not a licensed driver.

Reports do not say if anyone in the Jeep was injured in the crash, and the driver's identity is not known from reports.

Over the past four days, according to reports, three crashes have occurred involving teens.

Investigators are working to collect information to understand the crash.
