LAS VEGAS, CA (March 30, 2022) – On Sunday night in Las Vegas, a bicyclist was struck and killed by a vehicle. The March 27 crash occurred close to where E. Twain Avenue and S. Nellis Boulevard intersect.

The time was roughly 8:15 p.m., Metro police said.

The person had been riding a bicycle on the sidewalk, authorities said, and went to ride across S. Nellis Boulevard. A vehicle--described as a Jeep--that had been heading southbound on Nellis Boulevard, struck the bicyclist.

The bicyclist was killed in the crash. The person was identified only as 35 years old. The name, gender, and city of residence of the bicyclist have not been reported.

The driver was identified only as 33 years old. The driver's name, gender, and city of residence have also not been reported.

Investigators are working to understand the crash, and why it happened. They are continuing their efforts to collect information and details.
