Las Vegas Hit-and-run Driver Involved in E. Sahara Ave. Crash is Arrested

LAS VEGAS, CA (January 24, 2022) – A person who is suspected of being the driver in a hit-and-run crash that killed a pedestrian on January 3 was found and arrested. The hit-and-run crash that occurred early this month happened on E. Sahara Avenue.
Reports say a person was walking in a traffic lane close to Santa Rita Drive, and a vehicle--described as a Jeep Grand Cherokee, white in color--struck the person.
The suspect driver fled the crash site.
Responders arrived and found the pedestrian was killed in the crash.
Investigators used statements from witnesses and evidence from the scene to locate the vehicle suspected in the crash. The suspect driver who was arrested has not been identified in reports.
The investigation is continuing into the incident.
