Street Racing Turns Deadly in Las Vegas

The fatal accident in North Las Vegas on Thursday night was the result of street racing, according to police.
Just before 10 p.m., a Ford Mustang traveling at a high rate of speed smashed into an SUV, which was sent into a small sedan that caught fire, killing the driver.
According to a subsequent investigation, the Mustang was attempting to pass the sedan and SUV at a high rate of speed because the driver was racing another vehicle.
The driver of the Mustang, a 17-year-old male, was arrested after being released from the hospital, where he and the driver of the SUV received treatment for minor injuries.
