Motorcyclist Dies in Collision at Rush Hour

A collision on Wednesday afternoon left a motorcyclist dead at Jones Boulevard and Robindale Road at around 4 p.m.
The motorcyclist was riding a 2003 Honda when he collided with a 2001 GMC Yukon. The vehicles apparently collided after they entered the intersection on a yellow light. According to police documents, the motorcyclist over-applied the brakes, causing him to veer into the side of the Yukon.
The motorcyclist was killed at the scene. The driver of the Yukon was not hurt.
