Eight Homes Evacuated After Car Collision Hits Gas Line

A car crash struck a gas line in a North Las Vegas neighborhood on Monday morning causing eight different homes in the area to be evacuated in case of an explosion.
The collision occurred near El Campo Grande Avenue and Willis Street at 7:30 a.m. when one of the cars attempted to turn left and struck the other vehicle.
The cars then swerved because of the impact and hit a gas line. The police had to evacuate several homes in the neighborhood because of the possibility of an explosion.
Southwest Gas responded to the scene of the accident to repair the gas line.
No injuries have yet been reported.
