Man Identified in Fatal ATV Crash

An accident near Lake Mead left one person dead on Thursday and the Clark County Coroner’s Office released the name of the man today.
Gerard Coichette, 63, from Elmont N.Y. was riding the trails near Overton on an all-terrain vehicle when the accident occurred in the afternoon around 3:45 p.m.
Coichette was in critical condition when emergency rescue teams found him. He was transported to a medical center where he succumbed to his injuries.
An investigation into the cause of the accident is underway.
