One Person Injured in Shuttle Bus Malfunction Crash
January 25, 2012 | Car Accident
The Nevada Highway Patrol says that the crash of an airport shuttle bus on U.S. Highway 50 near Lake Tahoe in Reno was due to a mechanical malfunction.
One person was injured in the accident.
Apparently, 18 people were traveling from Harrah’s to the Reno airport at about 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday.
The bus was driven by 57-year-old Cynthia Hendrickson. According to police at the scene, a drive shaft on the 2000 Ford E450 broke and caused the bus to spin into the barrier in the median.
The injured passenger was taken to the hospital. Another bus picked up the other passengers and brought them to the airport.
