Boulder City, NV (September 7, 2018) – An accident involving 4 vehicles, of which 2 were semitrailers, occurred Thursday morning, September 6th, on the Interstate 11 highway. Nevada Highway Patrol responded to the crash around 2 a.m. on the northbound I-11 and closed off the interstate for several hours as the damaged vehicles were removed from the scene.

Although nobody was killed in the accident, three people were transported to a hospital in stable conditions. Highway Patrol spokesman Travis Smaka reported that the reason for the crash seemed to be due to traffic caused by authorities investigating an earlier crash in the same area. 1 semitrailer crashed into another, and then 2 other cars were hit. The I-11 is under recent concern as at least 3 accidents over the course of August and early September have resulted in deaths at the same location as this 4-vehicle crash on the highway, mile marker 9. The interstate was opened in early August.
