Express Van Runs Stop Sign and Collides With Audi and Pedestrian
LAS VEGAS, NV (April 2, 2025) — A 62-year-old man died Wednesday evening after a multi-vehicle collision in northwest Las Vegas.
The crash occurred around 5:42 p.m. at the intersection of Rainbow Boulevard and Laredo Street, according to Las Vegas Metro Police. Investigators said a 38-year-old woman was driving an Audi southbound on Rainbow when an express van traveling westbound across the intersection failed to stop at a stop sign and collided with the Audi and a pedestrian who was crossing Laredo.
Driver of The Van Fled The Scene On Foot And Is Still At Large
After the impact, the driver of the van fled the scene on foot, while the Audi driver remained and showed no signs of impairment.
Emergency responders pronounced the pedestrian dead at the scene. Police confirmed this marks the 48th traffic-related fatality in the department’s jurisdiction this year.
The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department’s Collision Investigation Section continues to investigate.
