A sport-utility vehicle crashed on Thursday after hitting a barrier on Interstate 15. The driver was arrested for driving under the influence. The four passengers were taken to the hospital.

The collision occurred on the southbound I-15 near the 215 Beltway at approximately 6:30 a.m., according to the Nevada Highway Patrol.

Apparently, the accident occurred when the driver attempted to exit the freeway at the last second, but crashed into the barriers lining the exit instead.

The four passengers were all transported to a local medical center to be evaluated for their injuries. The driver was arrested then booked at Clark County Detention Center.
